WHAT IS A TRUCK MOUNT STEAM CLEANING SYSTEM?
Powered by gasoline engines, the truck mount is fixed to the vehicle and together with water and waste tanks offers a totally self contained high-powered cleaning solution to any soiling problem.
Developed more than 30 years ago, these systems now dominate the carpet and upholstery cleaning industry in Canada. The truck mount can deliver water under variable pressure and variable temperature. This accompanied by a powerful vacuum guaranteeing a deeper clean, a faster clean, and your carpets dry in about one hour. (depending upon carpet type and construction)
VACUUM POWER
Truck mounts use positive displacement vacuum pumps that enable them to clean several feet from the unit with minimal loss of power. There is a direct correlation between vacuum power at the wand and the efficiency of water recovery. Truck mounts are capable of moving 290 CFM-400 CFM. These impressive vacuum level result in significantly faster cleaning and are responsible for much less residual water in the carpet after cleaning.
WATER PUMP
The Water pumping units built into Truck mounts are high pressure systems which are capable of 1000 psi. These systems are generally operated at 300-400 psi for carpet cleaning.
WATER TEMPERATURE
Water cleans better at higher temperatures. With heat, the activity of cleaning solution is dramatically increased with improves both the speed of cleaning and the effectiveness of soil removal. Greasy soils in particular become easy to remove with elevated temperatures. With a three stage heated exchanger, the truck mount offers the ability to deliver controlled heat so that the temperature does not exceed a level safe for delicate fabrics.

The Encapsulation Cleaning Process
Most dry soils in the Domestic and Commercial setting can be easily removed by vacuuming, as regular vacuuming takes out up to 79% of dry soils from the carpet. It’s the oily and sticky soils that attract and hold dry soil to the surface. The result is a dull and ugly appearance.
Encapsulation fixes these common carpet cleaning problems by eliminating them. The Encapsulation chemistry surrounds each soil particle and crystallizes so it can’t attract other soil.
The Encapsulated particles release from the fiber and are easily extracted with normal vacuuming, and since there is no dirt attracting residue left behind the carpet stays clean longer.
Many of the large carpet manufacturers are recommending and/ or using various forms of Encapsulation to maintain their floor coverings.
We at Best Carpet Care have been using the Encapsulation process for the last year and are delighted with the results. Domestic as well as Commercial carpets have been cleaned using the Encapsulation method and the customers have been impressed.
The added attraction is that the carpet dries very quickly and can be walked on within 30 minutes of being cleaned, and large areas of carpet can be cleaned and dry in a shorter time, and therefore becomes cost effective. Encapsulating cleaning chemicals
Encapsulation has another significant advantage in all cleaning methods. Leaving crystallizing polymer residue in the carpet prevents spots from wicking back. The polymer encapsulates the wicking spot, creating a crystalline residue as it dries. This is just as effective in hot water extraction cleaning as it is with brush and bonnet.
